Festival of the Bicycle, Mabley Green

Welcome to a sun-filled Sunday and bicycles. Yesterday saw Festival of the Bicycle play out on Mabley Green, Homerton. It was a great and eventful afternoon of racing, posing and entrepreneurial excitement.

I am particularly fond of this area. Having spent a super two years here, it was good to be back.

Oh, and I am now horrifically rose-red and my face feels a little warm.

Labour MP Meg Hillier opens the festival

Park Life

Park life architecture.

This was an interesting and exciting assignment.

The architects and artists at Muf have redesigned many aspects of Max Roach Park, Brixton. Children are the main beneficiaries of this attention and now have access to fantastic new climbing frames and constructions.

There is also a community centre adjacent to the park. It is run by a great team of do-gooders and the children were all rather funny.

I had to shoot people, place and play area.

PRIDE, Brighton

This was my first PRIDE.

Having travelled down to Brighton early Saturday, I exited that little station perched upon the coastal hill to find a sea of primary colours. Rainbows floated about the breeze; streets bustled, bristling with characters, and the festival tide was was in.

Armed with alcohol and accomplices, I submerged into the sea.
