Behind the Scenes

This weekend a wonderful opportunity popped up.

It was a job working for a new client (which is always exciting) and the brief required me to photography behind the scenes on a L’Oreal campaign shoot.

I am completely enthused by commissions like this; they allow me an insight into largely unknown worlds – and I am paid for the privilege. I would struggle to complain even if I wanted to!

Welcome to L’Oreal and Alexa Chung.

Vogue featured the photos!

COLDSTREAM

Welcome to a PDF book of an imploded project.

Very much to my chagrin this work has fizzled and popped into little more than nothing at all. Consequently I ve decided to make a small photo essay of the photos taken to date.

I am frustrated, annoyed and hunting for a resolution!

Hard-earned/Well-deserved

Last week a dear friend of mine was awarded an OBE. It was hard-earned and well-deserved!

Surgeon Commander Anthony Lambert OBE has dedicated enormous amounts of his life to wounded servicemen (and NHS patients) – from the operating theatres out in Camp Bastion to the surfing shores of Cornwall. Known informally as ‘Doc’, his extraordinary efforts have undoubtedly made a remarkable difference to the lives of many broken lads and his determination to not just stand-by seems to increase exponentially, year on year.

The Medics Rugby Challenge is an annual event organised by Doc. Do take a look.

Welcome to his surprise party:

Well done Anthony! He’ll never wear the bloody thing.

Building a Team

Yesterday I shot some photos of an NGO team building exercise. They were on a scavenger hunt about east London.

Welcome to the brilliant people of youth engagement charity, Brightside.

Party Food

A few weeks back I had the great pleasure of photographing a small leaving do. It was hugely enjoyable and the culinary treats, remarkable.

I ve always enjoyed photographing food in a fast paced environment. You use what limited light you have available and quite often that allows for interesting compostions.

The Collectors Convention

Never have I had the opportunity (nor the thought) to explore the meticulous world of collecting…

…until last month.

An underground car park found mere metres from Charing Cross tube station was our port of call – and the collectors present our subjects of the morning.

Coins, stamps, postcards and cap badges were in absolute abundance.

Footy

Last week I had to shoot some video and stills as part of a project commissioned for a sports brand. It involved visiting two junior football clubs in both north and south London.

Great fun it was.

Here are some photos.
