The billboard

Last year, or perhaps even the year before, I was given a great opportunity/job to shoot for a billboard in Barking, London.

At last, it has been mounted (minus lights and a few other bits and bobs) and I am extraordinarily happy.

Here was my first post

The Common

May I introduce you all to The Common. A lively trio, they are set to release their first EP in the very near future. We have high hopes.

Earlier this week we all made our way to Alexandra Palace in north London to shoot a collection of promo and cover photos.

A great afternoon it was – and really quite productive too. Lovely.

Some of the photos require some work but my computer has caused me a few issues this week. Need some time.

William Floyd Maclean

An especially good friend of mine has done very well for himself. His name is William and he makes jewellery – and it’s good, very good.

A few weeks back we had to organise an impromptu photo-shoot for his launch this September. After racking the brains and calling on favours, the canal running along Victoria Park was chosen and two lovely models were made ready.

I don’t normally do shoots like this – to earn money – but it was tremendously fun. Something to do again, that’s for sure.

These are contextual shots rather than super macro close-ups. They set the tone.

Notting Hill

Well it’s been a while since my last post – regrettably.

Anyway, I am back on.

Each and every year  I mosey on down to Notting Hill carnival with a fine group of friends. It’s great and this year was no exception – and the sky remained blue!
